Exhibition Assistance –
Westmeath County Enterprise Board Ltd.
If you are attending an exhibition or trade show, you can apply to Westmeath County Enterprise Board for 50% of the cost of taking a stand, subject to a maximum €1,000.00. You must apply to Westmeath County Enterprise Board prior to the exhibition detailing when and where the event is due to take place and how much it will cost.

Research Missions
Financial assistance towards visiting shows. If you want to research an event/show in 2007 and want to avail of assistance with costs, apply now to the Crafts Council of Ireland. For further information, contact Helen Lynch at the Crafts Council.

3 Day Magical Food & Design Winter Fair
A wonderful 3 day magical Food & Design Winter Fair will take place in Belvedere House, Mullingar commencing at 3.00pm on Friday, November 16th and continuing on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 6.00pm. Over 40 exhibitors will be in attendance including the best of Westmeath designers featured in this website. Shoppers will be able to choose from a unique selection of jewellery, ceramics, hand-bags, fashion, hand crafted Irish wood, organic willow baskets, glass ware and giftware.


Set amidst the stunning lakeshore setting of Belvedere, this Winter Fair will be the ideal place to start your Christmas shopping. Entry to the historic House and Gardens is free all weekend, so you can also take in the Forest Walk, Walled Garden and the Childrens Play Area.
In addition there will be a Yummy Food Hall where you can purchase tasty treats including chocolates and fudge, Christmas delights, organic smoothies and cheeses cakes, puddings and lots of other delicious goodies. The Fair is being supported by Westmeath County Enterprise Board.

 

National Ploughing Championships
This year the Ploughing Championships are taking place at Annaharvey Farm, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from September 25th to 27th September 2007. A craft village will be in place – for more information on the Westmeath section, please contact Jillian Shaw in Westmeath County Enterprise Board.

New Display Space at Belvedere
Belvedere House have allocated display space to Westmeath craftworkers and designers to display their products. The display cases are located just beside the restaurant in the atrium. They will be updated every quarter for the foreseeable future.
